1. Made to Order
All Sakaia upholstered pieces are made to order and produced specifically for you after purchase confirmation.
Each design is manufactured according to fixed dimensions and construction specifications. Customization is limited to approved fabric selections only.
The following are not available:

Dimensional changes
-
Structural modifications
-
Customer’s Own Material (COM)
-
One-off alterations
This disciplined production model ensures consistency and quality across every piece.
2. Fabric Selection & Swatches
We offer up to three complimentary swatches per product to assist with your selection. Additional swatches may be requested and are credited toward your purchase.
Please note:

Fabric dye lots may vary slightly
-
Lighting and screen settings can affect appearance
-
Upholstery application may differ from flat swatch presentation
We strongly recommend reviewing swatches before placing your order.
3. Lead Times
Lead times for made-to-order upholstery are communicated as a range and reflect estimated production time.
Production timelines may vary depending on:

Fabric availability
-
Manufacturing schedules
-
Material sourcing
Lead times are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
4. Payment & Order Confirmation
Full payment is collected at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed, production begins shortly thereafter. You will receive an email confirmation and updates when your item is ready for shipment.
5. Order Changes & Cancellations
Cancellations are permitted within 24 hours of order placement.
After 24 hours, orders cannot be modified, canceled, or refunded.
Made-to-order pieces are final sale.
6. Delivery
Doorstep delivery is included by default and includes delivery to the building entrance or ground-level threshold.
White glove delivery may be available at checkout for eligible products and includes scheduled delivery and in-room placement.
White glove delivery does not include:

Installation
-
Removal of existing furniture
-
Site modifications
Responsibility transfers based on delivery method selected:

Doorstep → responsibility transfers at threshold
-
White glove → responsibility transfers after placement and sign-off
7. Access Requirements (Important)
Before placing your order, you are responsible for verifying that the item will fit through:

Doors

Lifts
-
Staircases
-
Hallways
Sakaia is not responsible for delivery refusal due to access limitations.
All pieces are produced to fixed dimensions and cannot be altered after manufacturing.
8. Damage & Claims
All items must be inspected immediately upon delivery.
Any visible damage must be:

Noted with the delivery team
-
Reported within 24 hours
-
Accompanied by clear photographs
Claims submitted outside this window may not be eligible for review.
If a verified manufacturing defect is identified, we will coordinate appropriate resolution.
9. Returns
Made-to-order upholstery pieces are non-returnable.
Returns are only accepted in cases of verified manufacturing defect.
We strongly recommend ordering swatches prior to purchase to ensure satisfaction.
